The Japanese Kagi chart & trading system

 - an excerpt -

Kagi is a 300+ years old Japanese charting method and original trading system.

The Kagi charts consist of vertical lines that come in pairs of any length.
The short flat lines connecting the pairs of lines graphically depict the place on the chart where the tops or the bottoms have been crossed over.
The reversal amount the line must pass through to show a new trend is flexible.
The Japanese speculators more than a century ago thought that following the market is far more important than guessing where the tops and bottoms are or how long the price moves and congestions will last. What counted for them were neither the market excesses as revealed by the tops and bottoms, nor the market monotony as measured by the length of time a move or congestion takes but the continuity, the flow and the symmetry of the market.
